AMERICAN NEEDLE
Founded in 1918 as an importer of sewing needles, USA Needle began as a family-owned business.
In no time at all, they were producing all types of headwear.
Located north of Chicago, the factory employs skilled tailors, pattern makers and sewing machine operators.
Their passion was to create new styles for new markets.
In 1946, USA Needle approached the Chicago Cubs with the idea of selling baseball caps to fans like the players wear on the field.
The Cubs agreed to the suggestion, with the club's owner at the time pointing out, "Who would want to buy a hat that a player is wearing?"
The first set of Cubs hats sold out in a day, and the second set sold even faster. This success led USA Needle to supply hats to major sports teams across USA for many years to come.
Today, USA Needle is a 4th generation family business and continues to lead the industry with products admired by headwear enthusiasts around the world.
