PORTER CLASSIC's classic model "Newton" and OKURA have teamed up for the first time to release a limited edition backpack.

This is the first special collaboration between PORTER CLASSIC, founded in 2007 by Yoshida Katsuyuki and Yoshida Reo, and OKURA, the flagship store of Seilin & Co. 's original brand, BLUE BLUE JAPAN.

The "Newton" series, a next-generation backpack developed by PORTER CLASSIC over a period of three years, uses the body pressure dispersion mattress "muatsu" from long-established bedding manufacturer Showa Nishikawa in the shoulder harness, and combines the warmth of OKURA 's Material and handcraftsmanship. Two models, the "Newton City Rucksack" and the "Newton Business Rucksack", will be available in limited quantities.

The "CITY RUCKSACK" uses Cordura nylon for the body, which is resistant to wear and tear, giving it a smart look and high durability. It features pockets throughout that can be used for a variety of purposes, and its compact size makes it comfortable for women and children to use, making it fit for city life.

For this collaboration, a hand-embroidered Heart in Yang patch is placed on the right pocket of the main body, using thread dyed with Japanese cypress, which is harvested in the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture.

The handle of the bag is fitted with a Sakiori fabric handle cover made from recycled leftover fabric from "BLUE BLUE JAPAN", and can be attached and removed with snap fastener.

In addition, a small heart is embroidered on one side of the main zipper pull with the same Kuromoji dyed thread, and the triangular seat at the base of the shoulder harness is decorated with OKURA 's iconic heart-in-yang label. The inside pocket is adorned with the "ARIGATO" label, making this a special item with attention to detail.

The "BUSINESS RUCKSACK" uses Cordura nylon for the body, which is resistant to wear and tear, and has a reliable capacity that can even store a 15-inch laptop.

Despite its simple design, it has plenty of pockets, making it easy to organize your belongings, and its structure reduces the strain on your shoulders and waist when carrying the bag for long periods of time, such as when commuting to work or on business trips.

This model is also packed with the attention to detail that is unique to OKURA. The right pocket on the main body features a hand-embroidered Heart in Yang patch made with thread dyed with Noto-produced Oobakuromoji, and the handle is equipped with a Sakiori handle cover made from recycled leftover fabric used in "BLUE BLUE JAPAN."

It can be put on and taken off with snaps. The main zipper pull has a small heart embroidered on one side only, the triangle base of the shoulder harness has a Heart in Yang pin label, and the inside pocket has the "ARIGATO" name.
