This season, we will be offering a much larger number of models.

TOWNCRAFT was founded in 1927 as a private brand of JC PENNY.

JC PENNY, one of the three major store brands along with Montgomery Ward and Sears Roebuck, also had a variety of private brands, such as TOWNCRAFT, BIGMAC, PAYDAY, and FOREMOST, whose names are still heard in the vintage market today.

It is positioned like an original brand of a major retailer, or a department store, so to speak.

Compared to brands like BIGMAC, which were known for their emphasis on workwear and their lack of unnecessary elements, TOWNCRAFT is said to be characterized by its more casual approach to production, incorporating patterns and gimmicks.

The style of incorporating modern elements based on durability is one that HIGH! STANDARD has built up and will continue to aim for in the future.

MA-1 jacket

This reversible MA-1 jacket features a washed nylon twill exterior and a brightly colored satin polyester lining.

To make it easier to search for the aircraft in the event of an emergency landing, a highly visible color has been used on the back, but we also paid particular attention to the texture, keeping in mind the same glossy feel as the N2-B.

The shirt is available in two colors, black and orange, and navy and blue, which are rare combinations. The ribbing is made of acrylic wool and there are utility pockets on the sleeves, so we requested every detail to be perfect.

The MA-1, which was originally created as a flight jacket, is characterized by very strong ribbing at the hem to prevent the fabric from getting pinched between the hips and buttocks when sitting in an airplane seat.

This is contained in a hem rib that is not too strong, giving it a moderately rounded and balanced silhouette. The zipper is the prestigious CONMAR ZIP. It is a rugged yet easy-to-use outerwear that combines military and work styles.

The sampling source was workwear worn while working in the freezer.

This has been reproduced using soft nylon rather than the hard texture typical of US bodies.

The padding is made of THERMOLITE, which is lightweight yet highly insulating.

With a clean neckline, it can be worn alone or as a mid-layer in the middle of winter. The hem is equipped with a drawstring so that you can wear it with a rounded silhouette if necessary. The front opening and closing is done with the minimum number of snap fastener instead of a zipper, so you can even fold it up and carry it around.

Pants are also available in the same Material in four colors: SAND, PURPLE, CHARCOAL, and BLACK. They have a tapered, sleek silhouette and, like the jacket, have a drawstring at the hem.

Derby jacket

San Francisco in the 1980s. The cup shoulder jacket was loved by many people, from punks and local skaters to celebrities such as Steve McQueen and Clint Eastwood. It gradually became famous.

The name "derby jacket" is said to have originated from the blouson made by Derby of San Francisco, and many people will have seen the brand's tag featuring the Golden Gate Bridge.

The size remains the same as last year, with the cup shoulders having a carefully adjusted pattern for easy balance and length slightly shorter than the roomy width.

The lining, which usually has a glittering image, is made of paisley in the same color family as the outer fabric or in a more subdued tone, giving the garment a somewhat mature look while still retaining the outlaw feel of the time.

The hollow interior of the yarn allows air to easily accumulate inside, allowing the material to be stuffed with THERMOLITE, a lightweight yet highly insulating filling.

This is a great item that can be worn in three seasons by adjusting the inner layer.

The TOWNCRAFT x HIGH! STANDARD shaggy series was very well received last year.

In addition to the upgraded Cardigans, which is available in six different colors, this year we also have crew neck sweaters available in the same colors.

Material is acrylic, not wool. The "shaggy finish" is created by scratching the knitted fabric to create long fibers and a glossy finish, giving it the feel of wool mohair from the 60s and 70s.

The soft feel and ease of washing are unique to acrylic. You can even enjoy the gradually roughening texture.

And this year, we focused on the lining. By using multiple different colored yarns, we were able to create a vivid colored lining. Not only do the scattered naps show through to the outside, but once you turn it inside out, a two-tone knit is born.

This is a knitwear that can be worn roughly, typical of HIGH! STANDARD, and was created using TOWNCRAFT's high level of technical skill.

Flannel chef pants

We co-created Fran flannel shirt / pants, which is synonymous with store-based work brands, while referring to the company's archive.

Speaking of loop colors, there is an image of ombre, but it is simply a flannel check.

We paid attention to the length of the sleeves and the angle of the collar, and finished it in one piece that you can see the hook on the moment you put the sleeve through. I used a slightly shorter length to express the mood part, so you can rest assured that you can choose only the pattern.

And NATURAL/GREEN/BROWN also made pants with the same pattern in three colors. To put it simply, it's plaid chef pants.

This year, many of you may be in the mood for a loose atmosphere like this.

The silhouette is a versatile silhouette that is neither too thick nor too thin. Many second-hand chef pants do not have back pockets, but there are four pockets on the front and back, and the waist is elastic for comfort.

Anyway, it is a fabric that feels good on the skin, so you can wear it comfortably without stress.

The fabric has a flat texture rather than a textured outer surface so that it can be worn all year round.

Drizzler Jacket Double Fleece

The drizzler jacket is popular because it pairs well with a swing top.

At first glance, it looks like a simple jacket, but it has a cotton nylon outer fabric and fleece inside. The fleece lining is not too thick, but has just the right amount of volume, making it lightweight yet highly resistant to the cold.

Not only are the arm openings roomy so that you can wear thick inner layers, but the arm area is also fleece-free, making it easy to put on and take off without the inner layer getting stuck inside.

By using the chin strap, it can also be worn with a stand-up collar.

Heavy Chef Pants

This warm shirt has the feel of slightly thick wool and is made from polyester so that it can be washed without any worries.

Using the same pattern as the 1010254 60s ROOP COLLAR FLANNEL SHIRT, it has a slightly loose width and a slightly shorter length, giving it a boxy silhouette.

The armholes and sleeves are finished with a rolled stitch, giving the garment a classic texture with a subtle looseness.

In addition to the calm tone of black, it comes in two other colors, beige and blue, which are recommended for winter when outerwear tends to be dark.
