The original sashiko fabric is made from threads dyed in indigo using a technique called kasezome, for a light shirt-like feel. Since the color of kasezome-dyed yarn changes with each kase, it is characterized by the unevenness that appears in vertical lines as it is woven. You can enjoy the deep fading of the indigo color. There is a red stain peculiar to power loom, and the soft and fluffy Material feeling is attractive. You can enjoy the various "blue" color changes over time along with the indigo fabric of cotton Material used as a counter cloth.
