About
Gloverall is a British brand that is renowned worldwide as a byword for duffle coats. In 1951, its predecessor Morris Family Ltd. was established in a factory in London near St. Paul's Cathedral. After World War II, the company was commissioned by the British Ministry of Defence to sell unwanted duffle coats and gloves, which prompted the company to change its name to Gloverall and begin full-scale production of duffle coats. With a philosophy of using the finest Material and uncompromising British craftsmanship, the brand has earned high praise for its reliable quality and ever-evolving attitude. As a classic coat that can be worn for a wide range of occasions, from casual to formal, it has been loved for a long time by a wide range of people.
We have custom-made the Monty Duffle Coat, a representative item of Gloverall. The Monty is a duffle coat used by the Royal Navy in World War II. This model was named after Field Marshal Montgomery of the British Army, who was a fan of duffle coats at the time. Originally designed to be worn over a uniform, the overcoat is roomy enough to be worn over a jacket or thick knitwear. It is a coat that will go out of style and can be worn for a long time.
This time, we made a special order for the cotton herringbone tape on the inside. The cotton herringbone tape on the inside has been changed to a natural color, and a hand-stamp of "BLUE BLUE" has been added to the back of the left body. The collar, which already has the brand name, features both the Global All and BLUE BLUE brand names.
The hood has snap fastener to make it compact, so you can make it smaller depending on the situation. The hood also has a fixed chin strap, so it can keep you warm on board when exposed to the elements.
The front is fitted with a wooden toggle and jute loop, allowing you to put on and take off the jacket even while wearing gloves. The straps to prevent the hem from flying up, which can be said to be proof that Gloverall used to make military products, are designed to prevent the hem from flapping around your legs when working on deck.
