UNIVERSAL WORKS is a British fashion brand founded in 2009 by David Keate.
The design roots are vintage and workwear worn by David's father and grandfather, which have been reconstructed with a modern interpretation, with consideration given to comfort. The brand name Universal Works reflects the designer's desire to ``make clothes comfortable for everyone to wear.''
In the spirit of fair trade, Universal Works' collection pursues authentic handmade clothing, unlike mass-produced clothing. Therefore, every step from cutting to sewing and finishing is made by carefully selected craftsmen in small factories.
